Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida presents Dr. Ouch!

It is often said that The Nutcracker is the best ballet to introduce the children to this beautiful art. Tickets sales and the impact it has made on many of us, is undeniable.

But what happens after that? How to keep that enthusiasm alive without waiting until the next holiday season to see it again? As part of the program Ballets for the Family series and in an effort to maintain young audiences engaged in classical ballet, Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida presents for the enjoyment of the entire family, its popular and fun ballet Dr. Ouch!

Doctor Ouch! is a story based on the poems of Kornei Chukovsky about a Doctor that cures animals. The ballet, with music of I. Morozov and choreography by Vladimir Issaev, tells the fun adventures lived by nice Doctor Ouch, when he is called to help the monkeys in Africa who have become very ill.  During his journey he encounters tropical animals and exotic birds while mischievous pirates make Dr. Ouch’s mission a difficult but hilarious adventure.
