Boston Ballet Company and BBII Auditions

Boston Ballet is holding two open auditions for dancers interested in joining Boston Ballet or Boston Ballet II (BBII) for the 2014-2015 season. The Boston audition will be on Sunday, February 2, and the New York City audition will be a week later on Sunday, February 9.

The Boston audition will be held at Boston Ballet Studios located at 19 Clarendon Street. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the audition will start at 11 a.m. Dancers auditioning should be prepared to stay until 3 p.m.

The New York City audition will be held on the fifth floor at the School of American Ballet, located at 70 Lincoln Center Plaza. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and the audition will start at 10 a.m. Dancers auditioning should be prepared to stay until 3 p.m.

Both auditions have a fee of $30, payable by cash or check made to Boston Ballet Inc. AGMA dancers who present their membership card will have their fee waved.

The audition will consist of a classical ballet class approximately two hours in length. All applicants should bring a resume. Ladies should also bring pointe shoes. There is no height or age requirement for either audition.

In the event the audition class reaches capacity, additional classes will take place immediately following the first. Ballet officials request dancers pre-register online. To pre-register for open auditions, visit www.bostonballet.org.
