Capezio launches line by Betsey Johnson

Capezio brand ambassador Maddie ZieglerKick it up a notch with Betsey Johnson in her first-ever dancewear collection designed in collaboration with Capezio! To support the launch, the brands have enlisted the “it” girl of dance and Capezio brand ambassador Maddie Ziegler to star in the Betsey Johnson for Capezio campaign, which will debut for the Summer 2015 season.

From a dancer to a fashion icon, Betsey Johnson has twirled through her career hitting every mark along the way. Betsey’s years as a ballerina inspired her love for costume and fashion. She has referred to her style as “take a leotard then add a skirt,” and these personal inspirations are what dreamt up her newest collection for Capezio.

The Betsey Johnson for Capezio collection allows a young dancer to leap into style with performance-oriented pieces that are fun, fashionable and eccentric. Nylon spandex leggings, briefs, camis, leotards, graphic tops, and, of course, tutus are available in quintessential Betsey prints including florals, stripes and flashes of hot pink.

The collection’s details are as energetic and spunky as Betsey herself, including accents like micro fishnet textures, tulle, corset piping, lace and bows. Each piece is bound to make your dance routine a little more fun.

“I am beyond excited about my upcoming dancewear line with Capezio, which I feel has the perfect mix of performance, princess, and punk. It is sure to bring out your inner dancing superstar!” exclaimed Betsey Johnson.

Betsey Johnson has always been willing to push the boundaries of creativity and that marries beautifully with our innovative performance philosophy.”

Brannan continued, “She understands the art of dance which made for a seamless process. Collaborating with such an amazing fashion icon has allowed us to bring a unique level of fashion and whimsy to Capezio’s repertoire.”
