New Space for Martha Graham Center

Martha Graham Center of Contemporary Dance is moving into a new home at Westbeth, the former Merce Cunningham Dance Company space. The Center plans to invite guests to special events with the dancers and students in this 3,400 square foot theater.

In addition to a new space and expanded activities, the Center is hard at work on the Archive Project, the largest and most significant archive reflecting a single choreographer’s history, a repertory of 181 dances that include some of the greatest masterpieces of American dance. This legacy of innovation will have a considerable impact on the field of dance.
