Nutcracker LIVE Performance at the Wainwright House by Carole Alexis Company/Ballet des Amériques

Following two successful, sold-out shows at the picturesque Wainwright House (260 Stuyvesant Avenue, Rye, NY), Carole Alexis Company/Ballet des Amériques are delighted to announce another collaboration with the historic mansion. The two nonprofits come together to host twenty-five immersive live performances of The Nutcracker: Drosselmeyer’s Workshop on a variety of dates throughout the holidays—from December 17th to December 30th. 

The Nutcracker is a beloved holiday tradition, with Tchaikovsky’s signature score defining the season.The ballet story of the Nutcracker created by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov is based on the livret of Alexander Dumas and takes place in the 19^th century in the Stahlbaum family mansion. Thus, the arresting and sumptuous Wainwright House provides the ideal surroundings—generating a marvelously enchanting experience. This setting and arrangement give audiences a unique and privileged perspective of the historic mansion—effectively a “guided tour”—as well as of the life within as portrayed by the dancers.
