Oklahoma International Dance Festival Dates Set

The Oklahoma International Dance Festival (OIDF) is proud to announce the first in-person dance intensive since inception. Dancers and faculty from around the world will converge at University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Oklahoma from July 25 – August 7. 

 

OIDF is a unique event that provides rigorous professional training for dancers, offers residencies for practicing dance artists, and presents performances with a renown roster of local, national, and international dancemakers.Targeting the professional, pre-professional / collegiate dancer, OIDF serves the Central Region of the United States, as well as a diverse community of dance artists and audiences. The Festival has assembled a dynamic and diverse faculty, so dancers from throughout the region and beyond may experience an international view with working professionals in the field, here in Oklahoma.

 

Summer 2021 Faculty include, Brian Brooks from NYC, Colin Conner from Los Angeles, Frederick Davis from NYC, Sonia Dawkins from NYC, Ada González from Burcharest, Romania, Vincent Gros from Barcelona, Spain, Raffaele Irace from Frankfurt, Germany, Alejandra Jara from Asunción, Paraguay, Larry Keigwin from NYC, Roser Muñoz from Barcelona, Spain, Alba Nadal from Karlsruhe, Germany, Leticia Plans from Barcelona, Spain, Sherone Price from North Carolina, and Margo Sappington from NYC. 

 

The faculty will lead classes in ballet, modern dance technique, contemporary dance, contemporary pointe, composition repertory, African dance technique, movement research, GAGA / Dancers, GYROKINESIS® and pilates.
