Open Call to present Nationals

Open Call American Dance CompetitionPTC Productions is gaining momentum through the dance industry with the second season of its revolutionary dance competition, Open Call.

From the producers of the world-renowned events The PULSE On Tour, Camp PULSE, So You Think You Can Dance Experience and The Annual Teacher Workshop comes a dance competition unlike any other. Open Call (OC) is one of the few competitions connecting dancers to career opportunities in a professional performance atmosphere.

The specialized judges’ panel includes today’s top dancers, talent agents, directors and choreographers. Through these various industry collaborations, OC offers exclusive pathways for dancers of all ages to transition from the pre-professional level to the professional working industry.

OC shapes “today’s competitors into tomorrow’s cast” – creating opportunities, relationships, experience, and driving dancers closer to their dream. During OC’s first season, over 30 dancers were scouted by agencies, including Clear Talent Group, McDonald Selznick Associates and Movement Talent Agency. In addition, 200 dancers received full scholarships to training programs, 75 received partial scholarships, and every routine performed at Open Call was submitted to the producers of America’s Got Talent to view for their upcoming season.

Open Call American Dance CompetitionEntries are accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Soloists, Duo/Trios, Small/Large Groups, and Line/Productions are all welcome with unlimited studio entries. OC offers 15 categories ranging from ballet to specialty, offering an opportunity to dancers ages 6 and older in all styles and levels. Dancers, studio owners and choreographers are awarded cash prizes, scholarships, trophies, bonus points, training programs and more.

OC will present Nationals: The Final Callback on July 10-12 in Panama City Beach, FL. The competition will be held at the Marina Civic Center, and participants are welcome to stay at the host hotel, the Holiday Inn.
