Washington Ballet’s Nutcracker Tea Party

The Washington Ballet’s Nutcracker Tea PartyOne of Washington D.C.’s most beloved holiday traditions, The Nutcracker Tea Party helps raise critical funds to support The Washington Ballet’s artistic and educational programs.

Taking place Sunday, Dec. 9 at the beautiful Willard Intercontinental Hotel, the tea party admission includes entrance to the company’s 1 p.m. matinee performance of The Nutcracker at The Warner Theatre.

At the tea party guests will have the opportunity to meet many of the company’s ballet dancers and pose for professional photographs. The elegant plated event will include white-glove service and a buffet of sweets and treats. Truly a delight for ballet lovers of all ages, the tea is also for a good cause.

All proceeds raised go toward the ballet’s programs that reach 800 D.C. public school children per year.

Now in its 30th year, The Nutcracker Tea Party also helps to ensure that the ballet continues to provide the highest quality dance performance and training to everyone in our community. Ballet enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their children to this family friendly event.
